Is it to have fun with hobbies and decorating? To show off its beauty and tasteful decor? Or, perhaps, more nobly, to provide a space where learning and rest and relaxation can take place?  Why do we homemakers dust and tidy, cook and bake, de-clutter and scrub?   Three Poems For Homemakers There's something  about the  pottering, the dusting, the sweeping, arranging, cooking, baking,  decorating, That's so normal, so good: sharply juxtaposed against the backdrop  of a crazy world. here, I pray, I clean, I sing.
