Poems from my Heart

Poems from my Heart Putting on the Brakes I'm slowing down breathing, stopping, Long enough to say Thank You I'm putting on the brakes: walking  not jogging resting not scrolling Long enough to  say Here I am: send me *** Happy Happy day! Oh Happy day! I go along, I sing, I pray Working, working, all day long It's He who makes me joyful, strong *** Message Here's a little song Just a few lines long It's only purpose is to say: My Jesus lives, He is the Way! *** Copyright: pencil in His Hand Ps: I will post episode two of The Waiting Room tomorrow, God willing. I'm aiming to post an episode on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. See you soon! :)

"Go!" Three Poems

Go! No Time No time, no time no time at all Only today: so give Him your all *** How Beautiful the Feet See the lost people battered, hopeless, bruised feet of beauty, go! *** Calling Help me to see Lord help me to see the bruised and the broken  waiting for me to bring them the Gospel that saves and sets free *** Copyright: pencil in His Hand

Some Poems

Going over Jordan I'm going over Jordan, the victory will be mine I'm laying down my burdens as I place my hand in Thine Going over Jordan; surrender all to Thee Going over Jordan I'm Spirit filled and free *** Fearless His feathered tail goes up and down, as wagtail walks along, and even though I go behind, he has no fear and sings his song *** Strengthened Tired to my toes today, Tired to my toes: Every step a burden and only Jesus knows Yet every falt'ring step He bolsters with His hand and even through the tiredness I walk and joyful stand *** Copyright: Alison Lawrence *** Hope you have a blessed day with Jesus. :)

Inspirational Poetry

Photo: Aaron Burden. Unsplash Help me to remember Lord, set my thinking free Help me to remember Lord, I need to follow Thee Help me to become O Lord, all that I should be Help me to remember Lord, to help them follow Thee *** So many want Heaven: they want to be saved But they don't want a cross or the path You have paved *** Easy to say "I'm a Christian" you know Easy to put on a  fancy big show but not to fool God Who sees all you do So repent, turn from sin, be washed and made new *** Copyright: pencil in His Hand

Doubt Tossed. A Poem

Photo: Marcus Woodbridge. Unsplash Doubt Tossed Tossed and wavering to and fro on my boat as storm winds blow Now I'm in the valley next up high up and down 'neath threat'ning sky Enough! I must decide: choose this day leave all doubt rest in Him alway *** Copyright: Alison Lawrence

Two Inspirational Poems

Photo: Luca Upper. Unsplash Happy The secret of a happy life: must keep my eyes on You Place You at the centre of all I am and do Idols I'm dismantling the high places I'm smashing all the poles casting evil idols on the burning coals I cannot make them pretty give them place in my life for all they have to offer is dark, death, and strife My idols may be nice and even very good but I knock them from their places for they stand  where once You stood *** Copyright: Alison Lawrence

Death's Plea. A Poem

Photo: Matt Seymour. Unsplash Death's Plea. A Poem How many pause the roundabout to think about death; their own; the finality, the unexpectedness of death: one minute you're here, the next, gone Not even your shadow remains as they search and mourn surviving on memories Gone. Just gone. Will you pause to think about death, your own, its inevitability? Will you pause the roundabout? Death can be your  doorway to an eternity in Heaven if only you'll trust in Jesus, God's Son whose own death saves you too. *** Copyright: Alison Lawrence 🙏🙏🙏🩷🩷🩷
