Dedication: To my readers
***
Day One
I know You are with me,
and that You love me.
It is enough.
***
Day Two
Thank You Father;
You are so good to me:
I can breathe again
***
Day Three
Jesus' joy
is gold, sparkling, happy -
I'm sorry I can't describe it
***
Day Four
It is good to be
in that still place:
the centre of God's will
***
Day Five
Dark days come
when I wander away
and get too busy
***
Day Six
Worry demands my time;
he is pushy and loud.
I am evicting him.
***
***
Day Seven
You are enough.
Billboards entice, adverts shout -
I drive on by
***
Day Eight
There is little I need.
I am a simple soul
living in Your love
***
Day Nine
I'm a failure.
I don't have any answers.
But You lift my head
***
Day Ten
I'm sorry Lord,
for losing the plot again.
I thought I had a story
***
Day Eleven
Only by Your Spirit
can I live
and find my way
***
Day Twelve
Gentle breezes
of Your love.
Contentment
***
***
Day Thirteen
Reeds are swaying,
storybook ducks nestle
close to God at the river
***
Day Fourteen
Sparkles of sunshine
flash on the ocean.
Your love is vast
***
Day Fifteen
God teaches patience
in the questions of a child
and rambling conversation
***
Day Sixteen
Reading gemstones
and stringing pearls together
in my Bible
***
Day Seventeen
Mass produced
on second hand paper.
More valuable than gold!
***
Day Eighteen
Each word is a ruby,
a sapphire, a diamond,
or a rose
***
***
Day Nineteen
Going to church
is like stumbling on a clearing
in the jungle
***
Day Twenty
Why church?
Is it not archaic?
No. Not going is more archaic still.
***
Day Twenty-One
Church is...
family, faith, friends,
healing, hope, and glimpse of Heaven
***
Day Twenty-Two
Church is...
singing, serving, sacrifice,
soaking in His Word
***
Day Twenty-Three
Isn't it legalistic to go to church? They ask
[Smiling]
I go because I love Him
***
Day Twenty-Four
Is the path to your church
well worn and fondly taken?
Or hard to find, rocky, and forsaken?
***
***
Day Twenty-Five
Obeying our Saviour every day,
Obeying our Saviour
'til He takes us away
***
Day Twenty-Six
Do not love the world;
it is a tempting lure
dressed up in feathers and fancies
***
Day Twenty-Seven
I want to live a simple life,
a life that says, "I do,"
to only loving You
***
Day Twenty-Eight
Back to the cross
to absorb His grace:
back to the cross to see His face
***
Day Twenty-Nine
I have wandered off the path;
but I will return;
to the love of my heart
***
Day Thirty
Father, Thank You
for not rejecting me;
for taking me in
***
Day Thirty-One
No rejection e-mails
for those who come to Him:
only, welcome, please enter in
***
Day Thirty-Two
In just a little while,
our worries will fall away,
and we will live in love's eternal day
***
Dat Thirty-Three
Hurry to enter in,
doors are closing:
it is nearly night
***
Day Thirty-Four
Go to the streets calling,
warn all who will hear:
the Lord's return is drawing near
***
With love and prayers
